Some dogs are really cute and you just may fall in love with one of them, but giving a home to a dog is a commitment and more than just love is necessary. Please don't take this decision lightly. After you contact us we will look at your application and make an appointment with you.
Please understand that you have to agree to a home check by a member of Biewer Terrier Rescue or a trusted rescue associate.
Adoption fees starting at $300.00 will apply to any dog in our care, to help offset veterinary and maintenance costs. This fee may be lower for senior dogs, or those with ongoing medical conditions which will require expense on the part of the adopter.
We will provide you with the history of the dog- as far as we know it that is- and we will talk to you about all the health issues or temperamental issues the animal might have.
When a dog enters our rescue every animal gets assessed. This assessment will include compatibility with other dogs, handling of feet, head, mouth and ears, resource guarding tendencies, understanding of basic obedience commands, and behavior when walked on a leash. ALL dogs will be spayed or neutered, and shots updated as required, prior to placement.
