7 / December / 2007 - The Biewer Terrier Club of America has DNA tested almost 100 dogs to date. The results clearly show that the Biewer Terrier is a separate breed.
With the information that we are gathering and with what Mrs. Biewer has shared with us, we have written a standard that best fits the Biewer Terrier. There is no sense in breeding to a standard set for Yorkies when we do not have Yorkies.
Mrs. Biewer couldn't be more proud of what the BTCA, Inc. has accomplished, as we speak with her a regular basis to keep her updated on the progress we are making for the Biewer Terrier in America.
