Mars Veterinary Wisdom Panel test
After much anticipation and research, the BTCA is excited to announce the arrival of a new test to determine the breed of your dog. The Mars Co. has developed a test that will determine the parentage and ancestry of all dogs.
We have now tested almost 100 dogs and substantiated the rumors of other breeds being introduced in the development of the Biewer Terrier. Thanks to science, we have undeniable proof that we have a distinctly separate breed from the Yorkshire Terrier. The BTCA, Inc. is encouraging all of our members to have our beloved Biewer Terriers tested to further the purebred development of the Biewer Terrier in America.

As Oct. 2009, the Wisdom Panel has added the purebred Biewer Terrier to their purebred breeds that they are able to detect.
