BTCA members follow and adhere to a rigid set of rules in order to produce the best Biewer puppies possible. Listed are a few of the reputable business’ used in the testing and providing of services deemed necessary for the betterment of our breeding programs.

Breeding for healthy, well adjusted quality dogs is not as easy as putting a stud and a bitch together and producing puppies. Without proper selection, some dogs just do not have the adequate chemistry, when bred, to produce quality puppies. Thus, it is advantageous to be knowledgeable on which traits need strengthening and which ones need less attention. Blood lines (lineages) need to be traced back and followed in order to ensure that excessive inbreeding is avoided. Hence, the BTCA has established an extensive pedigree program where we are able to document weight, size, coloring and health issues (if any) associated with each Biewer.

By continuing to educate ourselves in the genetics and diseases associated with the Biewer Terrier breed, and the toy group for that matter, the BTCA members will be able to provide you with the top quality puppy that will become your new family member.
